The agreement and disclaimer that apply when you use Tulpy.

In plain language: Tulpy is a language-learning tool provided "as is". A lot of its content is generated with AI, so it can contain mistakes — treat it as a helpful learning aid, not professional advice, and double-check anything important. Please use it lawfully and kindly. The sections below spell this out in full.
Welcome to Tulpy! We want you to enjoy learning with us. These Terms explain what to expect and the rules for using the Service. We've kept them as plain and honest as we can while still covering the essentials.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tulpy — our website, apps, and related services (together, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service.
If you use Tulpy on behalf of someone else (for example, a child or an organization), you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Tulpy is a language-learning tool. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your own language learning, subject to these Terms.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. We will try to give reasonable notice of major changes where we can.
Some features may require an account or a paid subscription. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
The Service and all of its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate, complete, or reliable. Sometimes things break — when they do, we do our best to fix them quickly.
A significant part of what you see on Tulpy — learning cards, translations, example sentences, explanations, and blog posts — is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence.
AI-generated content may occasionally contain factual errors, outdated information, biases, grammatical imperfections, or content that is unexpected in context. It is meant as a learning aid, not as authoritative, professional, or expert guidance.
Please do not rely on the Service for legal, medical, financial, safety, or other important decisions. Always verify anything important with a qualified professional or another trusted source before acting on it.
For your language learning, though, an occasional imperfection is nothing to be afraid of. Real language is full of them — people slip up when they speak, write, and read, and we still understand one another perfectly well.
In fact, this is close to how learning a language works. Your brain meets words and patterns many times, across many contexts, and quietly works out how they fit — it is remarkably good at absorbing the signal and letting the occasional odd detail wash out. (It is the same principle modern language models are trained on: patterns emerge from a wealth of examples, not from any single flawless sentence.) So a rare imperfection won't hold you back — the meaning still comes through, and the pattern still sticks. If something looks off, treat it like a typo in a good book: notice it, move on, and keep going.
We work hard on quality and improve the product every day. Any mistakes are unintentional — and if you spot something that looks off, we genuinely appreciate you telling us, so we can make it better for everyone.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tulpy and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — the Service or its content.
This applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You use Tulpy at your own discretion and risk. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum extent the law permits.
You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully, and only for its intended purpose of language learning.
You agree not to: break any applicable law; attempt to access, disrupt, or interfere with the Service, its security, or other users; scrape, copy, resell, or exploit the Service or its content beyond your personal use; upload harmful, abusive, or infringing material; or misuse any AI features to generate unlawful or harmful content.
We may suspend or terminate access if you misuse the Service or breach these Terms.
The Service — including its design, software, branding, and the content we provide — is owned by Tulpy or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
Any content you submit remains yours; by submitting it, you grant us the permissions we reasonably need to operate and improve the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time as the product and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Your continued use of the Service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by applicable law, and any disputes will be handled by the courts that have proper jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
