Why we don’t make you build flashcard decks

A short note on why Tulpy schedules your reviews automatically instead of asking you to curate a deck.

Traditional spaced-repetition apps put the work on you: find the word, write the card, add it to a deck, then trust yourself to review it forever. Most people quietly quit somewhere in that chain — usually at "maintain a deck for months".

Tulpy takes that job off your plate. When you tap a word in the feed, it's already a candidate for review. We track what you've met and how well you seem to know it, then resurface it inside new, readable content right before you'd forget it. The spacing effect does the heavy lifting; you just keep reading.

The point isn't that decks are bad — it's that the best review is the one you never had to set up. Learning should feel like reading something worth reading, not like maintaining a database.
